THE CHALLENGE
Food production is responsible for one-quarter of the world's greenhouse gas emissions.
Rainforests are demolished to make way for fields and cattle. Animal species are exterminated because their habitats are being taken over by agriculture, and insects become extinct due to pesticides. At the same time, we buy fresh greens from exotic countries, where production is cheap and the season is convenient, which subsequently contributes to overconsumption and food waste.
Rethinking production methods of producing nutritional, and protein rich food is critical as the world's population is fast-growing, and we face big global challenges to the health of our planet.

SOLUTION
Producing more food locally, and in cities is one of the ways we can make a positive impact.
Shorter distances to the end consumer means more nutritional food and less waste.
Production and demand can be more accurate and thereby, decrease overproduction and overconsumption.
Transportation can be done in a more eco-friendly way, with less packaging and pollution, and it can be done without the need for new fertile land.
A new generation of farmers
Neighbor Farm wants to empower a new generation of urban farmers by making the necessary tools to get started with urban farming accessible, affordable and easy.
Nabo Farm offers a total solution for both new and experienced farmers to operate a successful and profitable urban farm. It consists of hardware solutions, an online cultivation management platform (CMP), tools for making better business decisions, and a large knowledge base of best practices.
Our mission is to create a distributed network of urban farmers that can make a local impact on a global scale!
